Earnings Tracker
Accounting / Bookkeeping Software Tool - Use a Preinstalled Version of the Software

Using Earnings Tracker

Pre-installed, ready to use, versions of Earnings Tracker are available at the following links:

As Version 5 is the latest version of the software we would recommend using that version.

If you are currently using Version 4, you can move to Version 5 by simply pointing your browser to the Version 5 link; all your Version 4 data will still be intact. See below for more details.

Upgrading from Version 4 to Version 5

Version 4 uses a subset of the database tables and fields used by Version 5. This means that if you are currently using Version 4, all you need to do to upgrade to Version 5 is to point your browser to the Version 5 link (see above). All your Version 4 data will still be intact.

If you want to switch back to Version 4, just point your browser back to the Version 4 link (see above).

The only consequence will be that features unique to Version 5 (for example, the ability to enter multiple invoice amounts) will no longer be available. If you have been using these features, some of your data will no longer be visible (in Version 4), but it will not be lost.

Upgrading from Version 3 to Version 4

Version 3 uses a subset of the database tables used by Version 4. This means that if you are currently using Version 3, all you need to do to upgrade to Version 4 is to point your browser to the Version 4 link (see above). All your Version 3 data will still be intact.

If you want to switch back to Version 3, just point your browser back to the Version 3 link (see above).

The only consequence will be that any features unique to Version 4 (column hiding and dividend tax voucher generation) will no longer be available.

Try before registering

When you open Earnings Tracker, you can sign in as "guest@dixon.co.uk" (for the email address) and "guest" (for the password). This enables you to try out the software to see if it is suitable for your needs. Feel free to add/remove/edit items as you wish.

You can log on using the guest account whenever you wish, and you might find that using this account is sufficient for your needs. For example, if you simply want to add figures for a single month, perhaps to calculate how much corporation tax you owe for that month, or to see what dividend payment(s) can be paid to shareholders, the guest account may well be all you need.

If, however, you want to use Earnings Tracker to keep track of your company's revenue and outgoings over several months, you will need to register within the application. This is necessary in order to separate your entries from everybody else's. We don't make any use of your registration details, but you should use a valid email address so that you can generate a new password if you forget the one you set up when you register.

Alternatively, you can download the source files (PHP and MySQL) for Earnings Tracker here. This enables you to install Earnings Tracker on a web server of your choice, and to modify the code if you want to. You can also buy Earnings Tracker pre-installed on a USB Flash drive, running within a working WAMP envirorment.

Please refer to the license information here.
